STEAM系美國政府提出的教育倡議，即加強(qiáng)美國K12關(guān)于科學(xué)、技術(shù)、工程、藝術(shù)以及數(shù)學(xué)的教育。STEAM教育注重的是學(xué)習(xí)與現(xiàn)實(shí)世界的聯(lián)系;注重學(xué)習(xí)的過程，并非只關(guān)注考卷成績。

　　STEAM is an education concept initiated by the US Government to enhance the science and engineering education in the US. STEAM concept is to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical framework in the curriculum through the learning process; avoid examination oriented teaching.

　　科學(xué)(Science)、技術(shù)(Technology)、工程(Engineering)、藝術(shù)(Art)、數(shù)學(xué)(Mathematics)-----組合而成的STEAM教育理念，代表目前國際上一種新的綜合學(xué)科背景下的教育思潮。STEAM教育倡導(dǎo)各個(gè)領(lǐng)域的知識(shí)通過綜合的課程結(jié)合起來，強(qiáng)化學(xué)科間的相互配合，發(fā)揮綜合育人的功能，通過讓學(xué)生在綜合的環(huán)境中學(xué)習(xí)，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生應(yīng)用多學(xué)科知識(shí)解決問題的能力。
